ULKASEMI officially inaugurated the ULKASEMI VLSI Training Institute (UVTI) on Tuesday, November 11, aiming to build a skilled workforce for Bangladesh’s growing role in the global semiconductor ecosystem.

The ceremony was attended by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, the Chief Advisor’s special assistant for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information, as Chief Guest. The event was attended by distinguished faculty members from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, United International University, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), and alongside industry leaders and aspiring engineers.

UVTI will begin by offering practical training in IC Layout Design, IC Physical Design, and Circuit Design, with future courses planned in IT and firmware. Training will be delivered by Ulkasemi’s semiconductor professionals using industry-standard EDA tools to ensure real-world, job-ready experience.
